Terms for DutySpecialist UK import duty estimates, HS classification guidance, quote checks and early-access paid plans, including limits and payment support.

Operator and scope

This site is operated by The Global Payments Consultant Ltd., trading as The UK Duty Specialists. Contact limegarth29@gmail.com for questions, complaints, cancellation or review requests. These terms cover the website tools and the services described at checkout. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Estimates, not a customs determination

We are independent of HMRC and do not submit declarations. Calculations and AI suggestions are guidance, not legal, customs or tax advice. You are responsible for checking product details, valuation, origin, commodity codes, reliefs and measures before placing an order or declaring goods. A tariff lookup confirms published information, not that your product was correctly classified. An AI confidence score is not a measured accuracy guarantee.

Only supported plain percentage rates are calculated. Specific or conditional duties, excise, anti-dumping, quotas and Northern Ireland treatments may be uncalculated. Preferential eligibility and any VAT recovery need separate confirmation. Fees not entered by you may be excluded. Free and early-access paid plans

The advertised Free allowance is 10 classifications/month; usage is not yet metered. The cost calculator and quote risk check require no registration. AI may be unavailable and no substitute result is promised. Pro is £12/month with an advertised 100 classifications/month; Premium is £29/month with an advertised unlimited allowance. These are early-access memberships, and usage is not currently metered or differentiated by plan. Prices exclude VAT as shown at checkout.

Payment records your membership; it does not provide an unbuilt feature. CDS export, saved audit trails/history, bulk classification, product catalogues, alerts and team seats are not included. Local text-PDF quote reading is a free tool, not document-based AI classification. Confirm availability before subscribing if a particular feature is essential.

Specialist Verify, cancellation and payment queries

Specialist Verify is £29 one-off per item. Contact us to agree scope, availability and turnaround before ordering. A specialist opinion is not an HMRC Advance Tariff Ruling or a guarantee of clearance. Do not assume a turnaround or completed opinion solely because payment succeeded.

Pro and Premium are recurring subscriptions, not one-off purchases. Use PayPal’s subscription controls or contact us to request cancellation and confirm its effective date. Contact us promptly for duplicate payments, non-delivery or refund requests. No blanket “no refunds” rule applies here; statutory cancellation, refund and consumer rights are not excluded or waived by these terms. Any additional service-specific terms must be agreed before delivery.

Safe use and your files

Provide accurate information, review extracted fields and keep your own reports. Do not submit malware, secrets or unnecessary personal data, attempt unauthorised access, or overload the API. PDFs are processed in your browser, not retained as a hosted audit record. You remain responsible for copies on your device. Use the API within its documented limits; service continuity is not guaranteed.

Availability and responsibility

Rates and guidance can change. Outages may prevent results or produce clearly dated stale-data warnings. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, specific Google rankings or AI citations. Re-check official sources before relying on an estimate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes your statutory rights.

Changes and complaints

We will update these terms when the service changes. Material changes affecting an existing paid service should be communicated before they apply to that service. If something is wrong, email us with the page or transaction reference, not a full confidential invoice. These terms describe current operations; they require periodic legal review and do not invent a jurisdiction or an automatic waiver of rights.
