Privacy policy
Privacy policy for DutySpecialist UK import duty and commodity code tools: local PDF processing, account and payment records, Cloudflare AI, analytics and your rights.
Who is responsible
The Global Payments Consultant Ltd., trading as The UK Duty Specialists (DutySpecialist), operates this website. Contact limegarth29@gmail.com about personal data, corrections or this policy. This notice describes current processing; it does not promise that third-party services never keep technical logs.
Quotes, invoices and calculation inputs
Text-based quote PDFs are read locally in your browser. The selected file and extracted text are not uploaded to our servers or saved to your account. You review and confirm candidate fields before using them. Images and scanned PDFs are not supported. Closing the page discards its in-memory quote review; any reports you download remain on your own device.
The cost calculator sends the fields needed to calculate an estimate, including commodity code, origin and monetary values, to our service. We do not deliberately save quote contents or calculation reports to your account. Hosting and network services may process request metadata such as an IP address. Do not include names, bank details or other sensitive information in tool inputs or public API URLs.
AI descriptions and chat
If you use the classifier, your product description is sent through our service to a Cloudflare Worker. Chat questions are sent to a Cloudflare Worker, currently in a request URL. No Lovable AI inference is used. Do not put invoice contents, credentials, personal information or trade secrets in AI descriptions or chat: request URLs can appear in technical logs. AI availability and third-party retention settings are not guaranteed by this notice.
Accounts, enquiries and payments
When you create an account or submit your email, we process your email and authentication or enquiry records to provide the requested service. Paid orders and subscriptions require plan identifiers, transaction references and payment status. PayPal handles payment credentials under its own privacy statement; our site does not receive your card number. Authentication uses browser storage to keep you signed in.
Analytics, cookies and error monitoring
Google Analytics (G-J1S9N2TTLV) measures visits, tool activity and referral sources, including identifiable AI referrals. It sets cookies and processes device and request information, so it only loads after you click “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. To change your choice, clear this site’s stored data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
Operational monitoring accepts limited error fields, such as a failure reason, file type, size and page path, not invoice contents. Client error details are filtered and truncated. Operational events have a 90-day pruning policy; pruning runs opportunistically rather than guaranteeing deletion at an exact time.
Purposes, retention and service providers
Service and payment processing are needed to perform the service you request; financial recordkeeping may be required by law. Security and troubleshooting support our legitimate interest in operating a reliable service. Analytics relies on your consent, given through the cookie banner.
Our hosting, Lovable Cloud account service, Cloudflare, Google and PayPal may process data to deliver their services, potentially outside the UK. We have not published a verified provider-by-provider transfer assessment or fixed account/enquiry retention schedule. We retain those records while needed for the requested service, support or legal obligations and assess deletion requests individually. We do not sell invoice contents.
Your rights and complaints
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it; this does not undo earlier lawful processing. Email us with your request, without sending sensitive documents unnecessarily. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
See Terms of use, calculation methodology and contact details. This policy will be reviewed when processing changes.
